Plan Do Act Check (PDCA) Definition
PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) is a four-step method used commonly within industrial planning and lean manufacturing. It is a straight forward method with the four steps being:
- Plan (Establish results and objectives)
- Do (Carry out the plan from the previous step)
- Check (Evaluate the results from the do stage and ensure they align with the planning stage)
- Act (Act or adjust the process to ensure improvement)
