FlexQube select Telenor Connexion for global rollout of connected AGV
Press release from Telenor Connexion, 04.02.2020
FlexQube, a Swedish manufacturer of modular carts designed for use in industrial environments, has selected global Internet of Things provider Telenor Connexion to provide Managed Connectivity and connect its first automated product, the AGV.
FlexQube is a leading manufacturer of industrial material handling carts. Modifications to legacy haulage equipment usually require heavy-duty welding, which is costly and time-consuming. FlexQube’s innovative design is modular, making it much easier and cheaper to reconfigure its carts for different purposes.
FlexQube’s newest cart – the AGV – is an autonomous and remote-controlled cart that can be configured in almost any shape. By using global managed connectivity provided by Telenor Connexion, the AGV can access more than 400 networks in over 180 countries worldwide enabling global rollout.
The goal of the AGV is to offer the most user-friendly automation solution for intralogistics operations. In addition, its customers can use the full potential of the FlexQube concept to build a wide variety of sizes and customized top structures.
Anders Fogelberg, CEO of FlexQube, says: “We want our customers to have the best logistics system the market can offer and by choosing Telenor Connexion as a global partner we are ensuring a seamless and safe connected experience for our customers worldwide using only one SIM.”
Paulo Vergos, CSO, EMEA & Americas for Telenor Connexion, says: “FlexQube is an innovative company that takes logistics to the next level. By selecting us to provide global connectivity, FlexQube can forget about the technological complexity of IoT connectivity and instead focus on their core business.”
FlexQube is a Swedish company with more than 500 customers in 26 countries within the industries; automotive, industrial equipment, warehousing, consumer goods, energy, defense and medical.
