Siemens Industry, Inc., the maker of light-rail- and street cars as well as locomotives in Sacramento, California orders material handling carts from FlexQube.

The order consists of tugger train carts including the mother-daughter style type carts with smaller kit-carts being placed inside a mother frame to haul several carts at the same time. Siemens and FlexQube have worked together for some time to design the perfect carts for the operations in Sacramento. The carts will be used both indoors and outdoors and the order will be delivered during first half of 2018. The intention by Siemens is also to order more carts during 2018, adding another approximately $230 000 on top of this order.

Anders Fogelberg, CEO of FlexQube comments : “We are very excited about this order to this prominent company. The plant has been using our products in a small scale since the summer of 2017 and they are evidently very happy with the performance of our products. These carts will help to improve the material flow at the plant and since we are designing several other cart types for the customer we expect this plant to become a great show room for our products on the West Coast of USA going forward. This type of project, where we can deliver a broad palette of applications for intralogistics operations are great for building our brand as the market leading company in terms of innovative material handling solutions for internal logistics.”
