FlexQube’s wrap-up of LogiMAT 2018!
So, LogiMAT has finished for another year and it’s time for everyone to pack up and evaluate the exhibition. For FlexQube, LogiMAT 2018 was lots of fun and we were able to meet alot of new people and experience the industry in a full-on 3 days. This year we were showcasing the FlexQube concept in Hall 9 of the massive Stuttgart Messe exhibition centre.
We also had the chance for our CTO, Per Augustsson to hold a presentation titled “Mechanical meets digital”. Per was able to explain the FlexQube ideas behind expanding your material handling to match the expanding technologies behind Industry 4.0 and The Internet of Things.
Once again visiting LogiMAT allowed some of our most curious employees to have a look around and see what is happening when it comes to AGV (automated guided vehicle) development. We were very impressed with Safelog’s work on integrating AGV’s with material handling carts, in particular our Design Manager Olof Brown saw this as something that could really develop in the next few years.
On the second day, the FlexQube employees were able to mingle with the STILL Liftrunner team. It was really good for some of our designers to meet the engineers of the Liftrunner system. Considering the FlexQube material handling system integrates so successfully with the STILL tugger train system. It was great to meet with the sales guys to learn some tips and tricks on how their system can most benefit the end user.
All in all the FlexQube team had a very fun and fulfilling experience exhibiting at LogiMAT this year and we look forward to exhibiting again in the future.
